Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Sri Lanka. She is an actress and model, who has primarily worked within the Indian film industry. Her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka Universe title was also taken by her. Fernandez has Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial heritage, spent most of her childhood in Bahrain. The degree she earned is in mass communications at the University of Sydney. She worked for many years as a reporter on TV from Sri Lanka before she entered the modelling world. She became one of Sri Lanka's top models when she represented her country in Miss Universe 2006. She landed Jasmine's role in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladin' during her 2009 professional tour across India. The role that she landed her first big break came in 2011, when she was selected to play the role of female lead Priya in 'Murder 2'. The film was a critical and commercial success, leading to a thriving career for Fernandez. She has since starred in movies like Housefull 2 and 3, "Race 2," "Definition of Fear' as well as 'Judwaa 2'. She has been the brand ambassador of many companies and has earned many prizes.
