Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into a family in South London. She is English, and her father was Nigerian. She was raised on a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was obtained. The stage she appeared in was many productions while attending school like the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe launched her acting career with the film Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. She then played Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in the six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She also had the opportunity to play the role as Bambi in The ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in series two and three. Madekwe also starred as the lead character in How to lose friends & betray people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment back in the year 2008. Her credits in theatre includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show aired in the US on The CW for only two episodes, but it was removed from the air. In February, she was cast 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was announced in May 2013. After two years as the main character she was a guest in the opening episode of season 3. From 2014 until the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast alongside Madekwe on Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her family included both parents Roy and Patty as well as four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers, who were who were all extremely athletic, played hockey in the winters and baseball in the summer, so they grew up mostly in parks and arenas. Ashley was unable to walk, but could dance. This led to the fact that when she turned 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley participated in the top divisions of tap, jazz hip-hop, ballet the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished high school. Top soloists at big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
